I Looked Up At the Skies; the skies were covered with clouds,
It was time of dusk; the darkness covered my surroundings leisurely,
I gazed up at the celestial skies, the dark clouds moved below them, just like my inequities,
I knew not how to fathom them; I knew not how to stop.
Under the skies I rested , surrendered my sins , and asked the third high for mercy,
The mercy that I did not deserve, yet I creeped and crawled, dragged myself like poor naked man, blinded by his sins.
I demanded mercy, that I don't deserve,
Such are my inequities and the burden of my sins he carries upon his already shoulders. Amen!

Optimism of a guilty child
I descend, I get a hold
I tumble down, I acquire
Lucifer triumphs
Jesus bows down and weeps
I nail him down on the cross all over
My inhibitions control me
My inequities take power
My worthiness restores
Hope’s just a remnant
It’s a struggle, I’m convinced
It’s a long one, I’m sure
I will beyond doubt develop
Hope is what's left
Optimism my only hope
I tumble down, I acquire
Lucifer triumphs
Jesus bows down and weeps
I nail him down on the cross all over
My inhibitions control me
My inequities take power
My worthiness restores
Hope’s just a remnant
It’s a struggle, I’m convinced
It’s a long one, I’m sure
I will beyond doubt develop
Hope is what's left
Optimism my only hope
